How does the application work?

The registration process:

Each user who is registering into the system films his face from several angles, using his personal smart phone camera, and the application transfers the pictures to the system, wcich is situated on a virtual cloud. By use of the filmed pictures, the system constructs a 3D model of the user's face. This 3D model will be used by the system for precise identification of the user's face.

Pictures of the user's face are formed by way of the 3D model, and a signature of the user's face is formed by each picture.

The identification process:

An individual who desires to identify another individual activates the application. The application uses the smart phone camera, and photographs the person nearby. An individual may be photographed at an oblique angle of 30 degrees. The application transfers the pictures which were photographed to the system. The system then chooses the best pictures, and designates them as a signature. The system goes on to compare previously saved signatures with those which have been compiled by the new pictures.

Advantages of the system:

There are two major advantages to this system. The first advantage consists of the fact that the actual identification is performed by way of an application which may be downloaded and used in any smart phone. In other words, the end user does not need a complex system or a special camera in order to perform an identification of a person nearby.

A second advantage, and a significant one, is that the application is capable of identifying an individual from various angles. This advantage actually enables the end user to indentify people nearby, and thus overcoming objective obstacles, such as the fear of rejection or bashfulness, also avoiding the need to mingle at professional conventions.

Uses of the application:

As is well known, the end user at conventions or exhibitions, that is, the buyer, the displayer or any other professional, desires to find the people who are relevant to his business as quickly as possible. Thus, the bearer's name badge is not sufficient in order to determine whether the individual in front of you has relevancy to you. Similarly, asking an individual to pose for a frontal photograph is not an ideal move.

Therefore, a central use of this application would be at professional conventions and exhibitions, wherein professional and business persons in a wide range of fields participate in order to establish business and professional relationships. The end users use of this application would significantly increase the relevant and essential ties between relevant participants and himself.

The application actually provides a solution from two directions. Firstly, a person desiring to identify someone knows who's standing in front of him, and thus he knows whether it is relevant to initiate a conversation with him. Secondly, the person being identified may enter a summary concerning himself in the application page, and may also state in which areas he is interested in participating.

Another central use is in various cruises, wherein the application may be used in the following ways: first, when the ship harbors in a port, and when the participants want to re-board the vessel after spending time on shore, the ship's crew needs to identify the persons who are boarding in the safest and quickest fashion, with a minimum use of human resources. Secondly, with cruises which are geared to meeting people, the crew is interested in creating as many interpersonal interactions as possible. Thus, sending a message with visual identification  via the application would be the optimal solution.

An additional central use is in security organizations, where suspects must be identified in security passages, or even in crowds. The simplicity of operation of the system, with its availability on any smart phone, enables any security officer to identify suspects immediately. In this way, security organizations need not invest fortunes in sophisticated systems which must be provided to each officer in order to cover maximum areas.
